Location: 5 Old Bailey

Usage: Video conferencing using your laptop with teams, skype for business, zoom, webex or other video conferencing programmes.

Getting Started

  1. Please ensure you request the unit when booking a meeting room with reception
  2. Release the wheel lock using the foot pedal located on each of the front wheels
  3. Once in position plug the white power lead into the nearest power socket
  4. Press the power button on the tv controllers, this will automatically tune to hdmi1
  5. Plug the hdmi cable and usb cable into your laptop
  6. Your laptop screen will display on the screen

Using with Microsoft Teams

  1. Ensure the usb cable is connected
  2. Open microsoft teams
  3. Click on your profile picture in the top right of the program
  4. Select settings
  5. Select devices
  6. Select polycom studio or echo cancellling speakerphone (polycom studio audio) in the drop down under both audio settings & camera
  7. Close the window and use teams as normal 

Using with Zoom

  1. Ensure the usb cable is connected
  2. Open zoom
  3. Click the cog icon in the top right of the program underneath your initials or profile picture
  4. Select polycom studio or echo cancellling speakerphone (polycom studio audio) in the drop down next to speaker and microphone
  5. Select video
  6. Select polycom in the drop down next to camera
  7. Close the window and use zoom as normal

 Troubleshooting

  1. My laptop doesn’t display on the screen
    press the source button on the samsung remote control (located between the volume and channel buttons) until hdmi1 is selected
  2. The device doesn’t appear in my application
    unplug and reinsert the usb cable into your laptop, ensure the connection is firm. If still doesn’t appear then a restart of your laptop may be necessary.
  3. How do i control the volume of the polycom?
    There is a volume control on the polycom remote control – do not use the samsung remote control for volume
